"The food was pub-like food so not healthy. But the atmosphere is nice and the service was good. Ti add my reasons for food comment. We were with a group, and the choice of food was all fried - chips, battered fish, chicken and I think squid. I never viewed a menu I have to say."

After a workout, that first sip here just resets your whole system. It’s not just a beer bar — it’s a little recovery station for the soul. The owner’s got great humor and an easy charm; one joke and everyone’s laughing together. Even strangers end up talking like old friends. The place is full of good energy — warm, loud in the best way, and real. And the dogs! They stroll in with their humans like they own the place. It’s so natural, so human — exactly what a neighborhood bar should feel like. At this point, they should just start a check-in list for regulars. If I skip a day, I miss it; if I go, I already want to come back tomorrow. Bottom line — they’re not just serving beer here. They’re serving happiness."

"BBC is an excellent dining venue - staff are very cheery, the atmosphere is enhanced by the very well behaved pooches enjoying the ambience. It was perfect to celebrate my husband's birthday there, along with our Auckland based family - daughter and grand-dog. Not our first experience there - very unlikely to be our last. Awesome!"

"I have the Pie, and I've never been happier, The pie, chicken has a really nice pastry, the gravy could win awards and the vegetables were very generous. The Service is great and this is a really pleasing and pleasant venue with great knowledgeable staff."

"It's a quirky little independent bar, so a good range of beers. Food was OK, but pretty standard pub fare, so nothing to write home about. They allow dogs, which would be lovely if people could stop their little yappy dogs from yapping, which apparently they can't. I don't know about you, but trying to relax over a drink is a little hard with non-stop yapping in your ears. We had one drink, ate the food as fast as possible and left."
